Profiling your scooter

Your profile is what dealers bid on. A clear, honest profile means stronger offers and no surprises on collection day.

Which photos should I take?

We recommend at least six photos: the whole scooter from the side, the front, the seat, the handlebars and controls, the wheels and tyres, and the battery area. Add close-ups of any scratches, tears, cracks or rust. Take photos in daylight where possible and make sure the whole scooter is in frame.

What details do dealers need?

Scooter type (folding, pavement or road-legal), approximate age, overall condition, battery status, mileage if your scooter shows it, and whether the charger and keys are included. If you know the make and model, add it — but it is not essential.

Overview of scooter damage

Use the damage overview to describe anything photos cannot show: a motor that cuts out, a battery that will not hold charge, a wobbly seat, a broken freewheel lever, or a scooter that has been stored outdoors. If there is no damage, leave it blank.

Why honesty pays

Dealers inspect the scooter at collection. A profile that matches reality means the agreed price stands. Hiding a fault usually means a renegotiation on the doorstep, which nobody wants.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos of my mobility scooter do I need?+

Six or more is ideal: side, front, seat, controls, wheels and battery area, plus close-ups of any damage.

What if I do not know the make and model?+

That is fine. Make and model are optional. Dealers can identify most scooters from clear photos and the details you provide.

Do I need to include the charger?+

You do not have to, but including the charger usually increases the offers you receive because replacements are costly.

What should I write in the damage overview?+

Anything a photo cannot show — intermittent faults, battery problems, unusual noises, water damage or missing keys. Leave it blank if there is nothing to report.
