Cookie policy

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This page explains which ones we use and how to control them.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

1. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These keep you signed in, keep your valuation form working as you move between steps, and protect the site against abuse. They cannot be switched off in our system, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require your consent.

  • Authentication and session cookies set by our hosting and login provider.
  • Security and load-balancing cookies.

Functional

These remember choices such as a partly completed valuation, so you do not have to start again on the same device.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count page visits and understand which pages are useful. These are only set with your consent and never used to identify you personally.

Advertising

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Your choices

Where we use non-essential cookies we ask for your consent first, and you can change your mind at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as signing in, from working.

3. More information

For how we handle personal data more generally, see our privacy policy. Questions can be sent to privacy@scootvalue.co.uk.
