Payment

You are paid at the point of collection — never afterwards. The amount you accept is the amount you receive, with no fees or deductions.

When do I get paid?

Payment is made when the dealer collects the scooter, after a quick check that it matches your listing. Do not let the scooter leave until payment has been made.

How will I be paid?

Most dealers pay by instant bank transfer, and some offer cash. If you are paid by bank transfer, check the money has actually landed in your account — not just that the dealer has shown you a screen.

Are there any fees?

No. ScootValue charges sellers nothing, and dealers cannot deduct collection or admin costs from the agreed price.

What if the price changes on the day?

A dealer can only revise the price if the scooter differs materially from your description — for example an undisclosed fault. You are never obliged to accept a revised price. If that happens, decline and let us know so we can review the dealer.
